Toyota Continues to Hire in Texas

Not only did Toyota relocate its North American headquarters from Torrance, CA to Plano, TX, but the Japanese automaker also is continuing to hire more and more employees.

Since the move about two years ago, the company has hired about 100 new employees per month, and Jim Lentz, Toyota’s North American CEO, says that by next year, there will be an estimated 1,8000 workers in the Texas HQ, after they fill the 1,000 currently open positions.

Toyota has separate marketing, sales, finance, manufacturing and engineering companies in the U.S., and the motive behind the move to Texas was to improve efficiency.
