Toshiba Lands on “Renovation Row”

Toshiba is the latest addition to North San Jose’s “Renovation Row.” The firm is relocating its Silicon Valley operations into a recently-renovated 200,000-square-foot office campus. CRE sources confirmed Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. leased M West’s Orchard Trimble project.

The campus is located in what previously was an undistinguished row of outdated R&D buildings. The M West project, part of a $800 million acquisition from Mission West Properties in 2012, was one of the larger spaces available in an increasingly tighter market.

Michael E. Filice of CBRE represented Toshiba. M West, a joint venture backed by DivcoWest, Ivanhoe Cambridge and TPG Real Estate, was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Steve Horton, Brandon Bain, Erik Hallgrimson and Kelly Yoder.
