Tom Becker Steps into New Role at Opus

The Opus Group promoted Tom Becker to regional vice president of construction and project management. He will manage the Minneapolis and Des Moines construction operations, while also providing leadership to a team of project managers working across multiple sectors. Becker (pictured) also assumes responsibility for strategic planning, resource allocation and other leadership activities including oversight of all wood-framed residential projects across the country.

Becker’s been part of the Opus team for 25 years, and has been involved in highly-visible multifamily and student-housing projects. Among them are Variant Luxury Mixed-Use Development on downtown Minneapolis’ north side, Oxbō Luxury Mixed-Use Development in Saint Paul’s Seven Corners neighborhood, Venue at Dinkytown in Minneapolis, and VÉLO in downtown Minneapolis’ North Loop Neighborhood.

Opus’s Dave Bangasser says Becker’s “efforts to lead our business into new approaches and territories have positioned us well to succeed, and will continue to do so as his leadership and collaborative nature drive results in Minnesota and Iowa.”
