Staffing Firm TrueBlue Poised to Join Old Post Office Roster

Another big chunk of space at 601W Companies’ redeveloped Old Post Office has reportedly been taken down. Recruitment and staffing firm TrueBlue is near a deal to relocate its Chicago offices from the North Side’s Goose Island neighborhood to 90,000 square feet at the soon-to-reopen property, Crain’s Chicago Business reported.

Currently, Tacoma, WA-based TrueBlue operates a few of its recruitment and staffing brands out of 860 W. Evergreen Ave. and 1333 N. Kingsbury St. in Goose Island. It took control of those spaces when it acquired Chicago-based Seaton for $310 million in 2014.

Moving to the Post Office, now 75% leased ahead of opening, would bring it closer to one of its high-profile new partners in Uber, Crain’s reported. The ride-sharing giant recently committed to roughly 460,000 square feet at the property, and earlier this month launched a staffing business in Chicago to supply on-demand workers to other companies.

There’s still time to register for Connect Chicago Fall 2019, taking place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
