SL Green Fills Retail at Graybar Building

April 20, 2017

One of New York’s biggest real estate companies has found tenants for the highly visible retail storefronts at its Manhattan headquarters.

“Tasked with repositioning the retail at SL Green’s corporate headquarters, we were very pleased to be able to attract such established and successful tenants,” said Adam Weinblatt for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, which represented SL Green in the transaction.

The retailers signed three leases totaling 6,815 square feet at SL Green’s Graybar Building at 420 Lexington Ave., next to Grand Central Station in Midtown East. Asking prices were about $400 per square foot.

The Macy’s-owned cosmetics company Bluemercury is building out 1,532-square-feet, once occupied by Crumbs bakery (pictured). Dean & Deluca will open its new STAGE concept in 2017 in the 3,432-square-foot space once occupied by De Janeiro. Paper Source will take the 1,851-square-foot space currently occupied by The Body Shop.
