Six Flags Expands Portfolio by Five

Six Flags Entertainment Corp. entered into a purchase agreement with Premier Parks LLC to acquire the lease rights to operate five parks owned by EPR Properties. When the agreement closes in June 2018, it will expand the Grand Prairie, TX-based Six Flags’ theme park portfolio to 25 throughout North America. Financial information was not disclosed.

One of the parks Six Flags will be operating is Wet n’ Wild Splashtown at 21300 Interstate 45 N. in Spring, TX, north of Houston. The remaining properties in the portfolio are:

  • Wet n’ Wild Phoenix, 4243 W. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Glendale, AZ
  • Darien Lake, 9993 Alleghany Rd., Corfu, NY (near Buffalo)
  • Frontier City, 11501 N. Interstate 35 Service Rd., and White Water Bay, 3908 W. Reno Ave., both in Oklahoma City
