SIOR Announces Top 20 Investment Deals of 2017

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors announced its Top 20 Investment Transactions Award Winners of 2017. The awards are presented to the largest investment sales transactions, ranked by dollar volume, completed by SIOR members worldwide. This year, 600 SIOR members reported 267 investment deals, totaling $4.4 billion [US] in the industrial, office, and alternative asset sectors.

SIOR’s Del Markward (pictured above right) says “Last year saw some of the largest investment transactions ever reported to SIOR. Commercial real estate transaction volumes in the United States exceeded expectations in the first quarter of this year, and we are eager to see our members contribute to this trend and continue to facilitate transactions at this record-setting level.”

The largest transaction of 2017, both by dollar volume and square footage, was arranged by CBRE’s Jack Fraker (pictured above left), who arranged the $475 million sale of 7,796,633 square feet of industrial space across the Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Columbus, and Memphis markets. This is one of the largest SIOR Transactions ever reported. Fraker was responsible for eight of the Top 20 Investments last year, totaling $1.12 billion and nearly 16 million square feet.

Among the other top deals were:
