Single-Family Housing Rents – They’re Increasing, Too

Much has been reported about multifamily rents’ continued growth. Also ticking up? Single-family housing rents. CoreLogic’s “Single Family Rental Index” reported that, on a national basis, single-family rent prices increased by a cumulative 4.1% from January 2018-June 2018.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, single-family rent growth increased year over year in several Texas metros. Of the three markets surveyed, Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land ended up with the highest annual rent growth in June, at 3.9%. This, however was a decline from the 4.4% reported in May, 2018.
