Simone Adds 7 Tenants to Repositioned Bronx MOB

Simone Development Companies has signed seven leases totaling 26,360 square feet of medical and office space at 34 Marconi St. in the Bronx. Located contiguous to Simone’s Hutchinson Metro Center campus, the two-story building has been repositioned as a multi-tenant medical and office property.

The seven leases include: Kidney Medical Associates (8,600 square feet); Davita Home Training (4,500 square feet); Bond Brothers (4,100 square feet); Davita Clinical Research (2,500); Konica Minolta (2,400); Metro Vein (2,260); and Rehab World (2,000).

“We are very pleased at the leasing activity we’ve experienced with this repositioned property,” said James MacDonald, VP of leasing for Simone Development. “Its location at the Hutchinson Metro Center is particularly attractive to medical practices that want to be part of the growing medical community at the Hutch.” The area surrounding the Hutch contains some of the Bronx’s highest rates of complications from diabetes, said Simone’s Josh Gopan.
