Shuttered Lincoln Park Theater Goes Up for Sale
Greenstone Partners and Lord Companies have just listed the property at 1501 N. Kingsbury in Lincoln Park, home of the renowned iO Theater. The 32,000-square-foot, two-story building is situated adjacent to what reportedly is the second-highest-grossing Whole Foods in the U.S. and located in the vibrant North & Clybourn Shopping District.
The building currently features a turn-key entertainment venue, with the flexibility to convert the building into a multitude of retail, office or entertainment uses.
“Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, like many live performance venues, this iconic theater had no choice but to shut its doors,” said Danny Spitz, CEO and managing partner at Greenstone.
He continued, “We believe there is a great opportunity to reactivate this great building as we emerge from the pandemic, with substantial future upside from owning a large corner development site in the heart of Lincoln Park.”
