Shane Johnson Takes Leadership Reins at SABOR

The San Antonio Board of Realtors hired Shane Johnson as its new CEO, effective June 18, 2018. Johnson takes over the role from Angela Shields, who left SABOR in fall 2017 to become CEO of Tennessee Realtors.

Johnson’s previous position was as COO for Cape Fear Realtors (CFR) in North Carolina, where he focused on moving the organization toward an advocacy focus. His efforts helped CFR earn the National Association of Realtors’ 2017 Community Outreach Award. He also founded the Coalition for NC Beaches.

Johnson’s resume also includes CEO for the Quad City Area Association of Realtors and St. Charles County Association of Realtors. Earlier in his career, he was deputy chief of staff/district director for Congressman Jim Nussle of Iowa.

Johnson received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, a law degree from the University of Wyoming, and a Financial Management Certificate from Cornell University.
