Semiconductor Firm Completes 104,500 SF Lease, Relocates Aliso Viejo Operations
Cavium, Inc. leased the entire 104,500 square feet of a four-story building at Irvine Company’s “NextGen” campus, now under construction at Sand Canyon Business Center in Irvine Spectrum. The deal ranks as the largest new Orange County office lease in the past four months.
Cavium, which is headquartered in San Jose, acquired Aliso Viejo-based QLogic Corporation earlier this summer. It plans move the QLogic HQ operations to Irvine next summer, downsizing from roughly 160,000 square feet.
The company joins AutoGravity, which took 40,000 square feet in the project’s other four-story building, to bring the the 211,200-square-foot NextGen campus to 70% pre-leased.
Newmark Cornish & Carey’s Jeff Hoffman and Tracey Solari, along with with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Greg Tippin, Stacy Garcia and Byron Foss represented the tenant. The landlord was self-represented.
