Second Square Location to Open in SLC’s Kearns Building

Hines announced that Kearns Building in Salt Lake City is the second property in its portfolio to offer The Square, Hines’ flexible space-as-a-service offering. The Square will occupy 25,000 square feet at the historic building at 136 S. Main St. Industrious will operate the space, which is scheduled for a June 2020 opening.

The 166,939-square-foot Kearns Building, which opened in 1911 and Hines acquired in 1988, recently underwent a $25-million redevelopment. It included new building support systems and elevator modernization, as well the addition of a new outdoor patio and west lobby, tenant lounge, wellness center and gym.

The first Square location is at 717 Texas, a 33-story, Class A office tower in Houston.
