Scottish Firm Buys Industrial Manufacturing

Churchill Drilling Tools, headquartered in Aberdeen in the United Kingdom, acquired a 20,943-square-foot, crane-served manufacturing property at 1366 E. Richey Rd. in Houston. The building was sold for an undisclosed price by Turnkey Building and Design, delivered in 2014 and sits on just under 2 acres. The property is north of Houston’s CBD, just off the Hardy Toll Road.

The Scottish buyer specializes in the manufacture of down-hole tools. It employs more than 60 at regional operations in Aberdeen, Houston and the UAE. The company also has distributors and agents worldwide. The new purchase gives Churchill Drilling approximately 18,000 square feet of insulated warehouse space, with 2,943 square feet of office area.

Jake Wilkinson of NAI Partners represented the buyer. Clint Hankla with Northwinds Commercial represented the seller.
