Saxony Convention Center Gears Up For Coachella and Stagecoach

A former Sam’s Club in La Quinta will be remade into the Saxony Convention Center. The goal is for the transformation to be completed by the Coachella Valley Wind-Up, an event in April that will host live music and other events over the three Thursdays before the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.

Developer Saxony Group has planned for an interior elevator and mezzanine for the center. Some interior demolition plans have been approved by La Quinta city officials, who are awaiting additional information, such as traffic, waste and noise reduction, in order to grant a temporary use permit to allow the musical events.

A maximum of 10,300 tickets will reportedly be allocated for each of the Coachella Valley Wind-Ups.
