San Antonio’s A’Gaci Closing All Retail Stores
A’Gaci LLC, headquartered in San Antonio, announced it is shuttering all of its retail stores. The move comes about a year and a half after the women’s apparel and accessories retailer filed for bankruptcy protection to reorganize its $62-million debt. The company will shutter all 54 of its stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, after recently shutting down its online store.
The original bankruptcy plan, filed in January 2018, kept 1,500 employees hired and 55 of the company’s 78 stores open. The reorganization was further helped in August 2018 with a $12 million line of credit, extended by Second Avenue Capital Partners LLC.
The company is advertising a total inventory liquidation sale in its stores, with items up to 50% off.
