Sabot Development Announces MXU Project

Sabot Development of Austin announced the creation of its first San Antonio project, a mixed-use development near the Pearl Street District. The as-yet-unnamed development at Euclid Avenue and Locust Street will offer 325 residential units, 400 underground parking spaces and 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The San Antonio Historic and Design Review Commission and the city’s planning commission approved the development, and the city council will vote on it next month. Sabot plans to launch construction by Q2 2021.

Gensler is the architect and KFW Engineers the civil engineer, with Raba Kistner Inc.-owned Project Control to oversee project management. A general contractor has not been named.

“We wanted to redevelop this site in a way that would allow appropriate mixed use near Pearl so that people would walk, bike, live, work and play on the River Walk and at Pearl,” Sabot’s Jim Young told the San Antonio Business Journal.

Connect Houston will take place Feb. 4 in Houston. For more information, or to register, click here.
