Ryder Planning Facilities Expansion

Logistics provider Ryder Systems is expanding its Fort Worth facility at 13599 Park Vista Blvd. by 25,500 square feet. The $5.2 million expansion is anticipated to add more than 200 jobs. The company has been offered a $1 million Texas Enterprise Fund grant to grow. Additionally, the city of Fort Worth signed off on a seven-year tax incentive, providing Ryder with a 25% grant on real and personal property taxes.

In 2000, the company opened a 42,200-square-foot facility in north Fort Worth, and currently employs 347. Work has already started on the expansion, and it should be completed by the end of 2017.

“We’re very excited to be able to make sure we retain this company,” Fort Worth Economic Development Director Robert Sturns told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “The opportunity to have the expansion occur here bodes well for the economy.”
