Ryan Companies Plans Entry into Fulton Market

Add Ryan Companies to the roster of developers with major projects in the Fulton Market District. A partnership of Ryan and IBT Group announced plans Wednesday to develop a 700,000-square-foot mixed-use office and retail project, to be named Axis West at Fulton Market.

“Our entry into Fulton Market continues our successful growth in the City of Chicago,” said Ryan Companies’ Toby Veit. “Axis West will serve as a resource for businesses and consumers, as well as for the neighborhood at large, we are very proud to be able to contribute to the continued growth of this vital part of the city.”

The project derives its name from its location at the axis of two main thoroughfares, Fulton and Racine.

Ryan and IBT are co-developing the project, with Ryan as general contractor. CRTKL is the architect, and NKF has been tapped for leasing.

Groundbreaking is scheduled for early fall 2020.
