Ross Stores Expanding Throughout Greater Houston

Ross Stores currently has 51 stores in operation throughout the Greater Houston metro. The company is planning to further expand in nine more suburban markets over the next couple of years, as it focuses on expansion in Texas, Florida, California and the Midwest.
New Ross locations are popping up in suburbs including Conroe and Spring (north), New Caney (northeast) and Richmond (southwest). Five more Ross leases with 2018 opening dates are in various stages of the approval process. A similar strategy is underway for Ross’ sister chain, dd’s DISCOUNTS, which will have up to 20 stores in the Houston metro by the end of 2017.
“Houston is a really good market for Ross demographically,” said Matt Reed, with NewQuest Properties. He and NewQuest colleague Shireen Owlia are brokering the deals for Ross Stores.
