RockFarmer’s Rowan Condos Achieve Sales Success in Pandemic

The Rowan, RockFarmer Properties’ ground-up residential condominium project in Astoria, is 35% sold five months after sales were launched.  The New York State Attorney General’s Office has also declared The Rowan’s offering plan effective. Closings at the six-story development are expected to begin in the spring of 2021.

“While the market experienced a unique setback due to COVID-19, pre-completion sales and inquiries remained incredibly strong since we launched sales at the end of January,” said John Petras, managing principal at RockFarmer.  “The fact that we managed to sell more than 10% of the units at The Rowan during the shutdown is a reflection of the pent up demand for newly built, well-designed luxury condominiums in Astoria.”

In addition, RockFarmer said construction has resumed onsite and The Rowan’s sales gallery has reopened in accordance with New York City’s guidelines. Halstead Development Marketing is marketing the property.
