Roberson Named Houston ULI’s First Female Chair
Abbey Roberson will become chair of ULI’s Houston District Council in July. She is the district’s first female chair, and currently serves as vice president of planning for the Texas Medical Center (TMC). She specializes in urban design, master planning, and urban infill developments.
Roberson succeeds Bill Odle, a principal at TBG Partners, who is completing his two-year term. “Abbey is an outstanding leader in her field,” he said. “She is a strategist with an eye on trends in the marketplace, and she brings tremendous institutional knowledge and value to the Houston ULI leadership team and real estate community.”
Roberson has been a member of ULI for more than 10 years, holding leadership roles in the organization’s mission advancement, awards, and membership committees. In addition, she received a ULI Women in Leadership Initiative scholarship award.
Prior to joining TMC, Roberson spent 12 years with HOK, where she led a planning and landscape architecture team.
