RLJ Lodging Sells Two Hilton-Branded Hotels in Myrtle Beach for $156M

Publicly-traded real estate investment trust RLJ Lodging Trust sold two Hilton-branded hotels in Myrtle Beach for a total of $156 million. The buyer was EOS Investors LLC.

The hotels sold were the 385-room Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. and the 255-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, also known as Kingston Plantation. Hilton Hotels & Resorts will continue to manage the resorts.

“We are pleased with the solid execution and attractive multiple generated by the sale of these two beachfront hotels,” commented Leslie D. Hale, CEO of RLJ Lodging. “This transaction is a continuation of our strategic efforts to sell non-core hotels and recycle capital into more accretive opportunities that will ultimately drive long-term shareholder value.”
