Riverside Plaza Gets New Retailers
Phoenix-based Vestar Development Co. is planning to add five new tenants to the mix at Riverside Plaza, a 475,000-square-foot regional shopping center in Riverside, CA. The retailers include Charter Communications, Home Care Assistance, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Great Shakes, and Ono Hawaiian BBQ.
The retail center is nearing the final stages of an expansion and repositioning of the 33-acre site. Two new pads were built, including a row of shops incorporated into former parking lot space. The Regal Cinemas Riverside Plaza 16 also underwent renovations to its auditoriums that included adding recliner seats.
The strategy of adding food offerings near entertainment venues is envisioned as a way to create a more engaging shopping experience, compared to online. Savills Studley’s Bryan Norcott handled the leasing for Vestar.
