Rising Signs Celeb Chef Curtis Stone to DTLA’s Trust Building
Rising Realty Partners and Lionstone Investments are bringing a new restaurant concept to The Trust Building in DTLA. Acclaimed chef Curtis Stone and brother Luke Stone plan to open a culinary destination in a 4,000-square-foot space that is expected to open late 2020.
Rising Realty Partners’ Christopher Rising says, “This is a milestone for downtown L.A.’s Historic Core, and to see Curtis and Luke Stone select this burgeoning area above all others across the city truly validates its future and contributes to its reawakening.”
The project’s Art Deco foundation dates back to 1928, though it underwent a multi-million-dollar restoration of its 340,000 square feet. It has been retrofitted to appeal to modern creatives, while retaining its historic character and architectural details.
The internationally-acclaimed Australian chef currently operates the Michelin-starred Maude in Beverly Hills, as well as Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant in Hollywood, a collaboration with managing partner Luke.
