Retro Dance Club Taking the Floor in Chelsea
A dance club focused on retro music — from 1970s pop through today’s alternative — will open in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood in early spring. Retroclubnyc signed a 10-year lease at 161 W. 23rd St.
“Retroclubnyc offers a unique concept that will be a great addition to the neighborhood,” said Lee Block, executive vice president for Winick Realty Group, which represented landlord New Men Associates.
Along with the distinctively retro music, Retroclubnyc will also offer wine, beer, creative cocktails and small plates when it opens in early spring. The venue features a 2,400-square-foot ground floor with a full bar, seating area and platform stage. The 2,000-square-foot lower level had a private bar area, prep kitchen for light food, storage and restrooms at the time of lease.
