Retail Developer Takes Former Bank Branch Space

River Oaks Properties, a shopping center real estate company headquartered in El Paso, opened its new headquarters in a former local GECU branch office. The 17,000-square-foot space at 5670 N. Mesa St. in West El Paso is more than twice the size of River Oaks’ former offices at 106 Mesa Park Dr.

The company employs 40, with the larger building able to “accommodate the business for many years to come,” River Oaks’ President Adam Frank told the El Paso Times. The company develops, owns and operates many of El Paso’s neighborhood and community shopping centers.

GECU sold the branch office to an unknown buyer in 2014, in a move to reduce its space footprint.
