Related California’s Witte Outlines Vision for DTLA’s $1B The Grand
Related California’s William “Bill” Witte leads one of the largest owners and developers of multifamily and affordable housing in Los Angeles and the Bay Area, and in a recent in-depth interview with the Los Angeles Business Journal he discusses his role as chairman and chief executive for the company.
Witte’s interview covers a range of topics including the state of L.A. real estate, the importance of affordable housing and downtown Los Angeles’ The Grand, a $1 billion multifamily, hotel and retail project now under construction targeting 2021 completion.
Designed by Frank Gehry, The Grand’s residential tower is 39 stories offering more than 400 luxury residences, of which 20% will be affordable rate. The residential tower is paired to a 20-story, 309-key Equinox Hotel. The Grand will also feature a large, vibrant public plaza with open terraces between the two buildings at the nine-acre site.
