Related Beal Announces 1.1M-SF MXU Project in Fort Point

Developer Related Beal and architecture firm Kohn Pederson Fox Associates have revealed plans for a 1.1 million-square-foot mixed-use project adjacent to the Gillette World Shaving Headquarters in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood.

The proposed project would include a 17-story residential building, a 13-story office building and an eight-story lab building. Related Beal acquired the six-acre site for $218 million in May.

“We are excited to start conversations with the community about the future of this parcel and a plan that enhances Boston,” said Kimberly Sherman Stamler, president at Related Beal.

“We believe this site offers a tremendous opportunity to create a diverse, mixed-use development close to public transit hubs, add to the environmental resiliency of Fort Point, and expand public waterfront access,” she added.
