Refinitiv Moves from Midtown to Fosun’s 28 Liberty

In another relocation from Midtown to Downtown, fintech firm Refinitiv leased 108,917 square feet of space covering three full floors at Fosun Hive Holdings’ 28 Liberty St. The tenant is relocating from 3 Times Square.

Fosun has completed 1.49 million square feet of office leasing at 28 Liberty since beginning a comprehensive repositioning of the former One Chase Manhattan Plaza. The Refinitiv lease was the largest of five 28 Liberty deals totaling 254,995 square feet in the fourth quarter of 2019.

EVP Thomas Costanzo of Fosun said his company’s redevelopment of 28 Liberty “has made it an ideal space-use solution for Refinitiv and other tenants seeking to take advantage of the momentum in Lower Manhattan.”

Costanzo and his colleague Isabella Chen represented Fosun, as did a JLL team of Peter Riguardi, Mitch Konsker, John Wheeler, Michael Berman, Dan Turkewitz and Eliza Akers. JLL’s Robert Martin and T.J. Hochanadel advised Refinitiv.
