REBNY Adds Government Affairs SVP

The Real Estate Board of New York has appointed Reggie Thomas as SVP for government affairs, effective April 16. He’s succeeding John Doyle, who will retire from full-time service after 31 years with REBNY.

Thomas comes to REBNY with more than 10 years’ experience in government affairs. In his most recent role with Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, Thomas worked as a government affairs principal. From 2011 through 2015, Thomas served Mayors de Blasio and Bloomberg in the Office of City Legislative Affairs as first deputy director and senior policy advisor.

REBNY has also promoted Carl Hum to the newly-created role of general counsel, complementing his current responsibilities as SVP for management services and government affairs. Hum joined REBNY in 2015 as the lead advocate on construction safety, building codes management, sustainability and federal policy.
