Raytheon Inks 116K-SF Lease Renewal in D.C.
Defense contractor Raytheon has inked a 116,000-square-foot long-term lease renewal at 1100 Wilson Blvd. in Washington D.C.’s Rosslyn submarket. Raytheon signed a lease renewal at 1100 Wilson nearly three years before the lease was set to expire.
The 1100 Wilson Building currently serves as the defense contractor’s headquarters for its intelligence and space division. Raytheon plans to make upgrades to the space after the lease renewal. The Massachusetts-based contractor currently occupies approximately 826,000 square feet in the D.C. area.
Raytheon CEO Greg Haynes said on the firm’s Q3 earnings call Oct. 27 that the firm’s original goal was to cut its global office footprint by 10%, or 3 million square feet.
