Proper Title Taps Industry Veteran Ley as Escrow Officer

Palatine, IL-based Proper Title, a title insurance agency serving the residential and commercial real estate industries, has hired Amanda Ley as senior escrow officer. Ley joins the company after nearly two decades with Chicago Title & Trust Company.

At Chicago Title, Ley’s work as an escrow officer earned her the Fidelity National Financial President’s Award seven times. She will be handling both commercial and residential transactions out of Proper Title’s Northbrook, IL office.

“Amanda is known for her ability to handle complex transactions, making her a great fit for our goal to bring clients peace of mind at the closing table,” said Proper Title EVP David Garside.

Since its founding in 2013, Proper Title has doubled in size and grown its transaction volume annually, becoming the second-largest title insurance agency in Illinois. The firm earned the 2014, 2015 and 2016 “Rising Star / Excellence in Action” awards from Fidelity Investments.
