Necessity Retail REIT Acquires San Jose Shopping Center

Prologis Picks Up South Bay Land for Last Mile Development

Prologis purchased a 9.08-acre land parcel located north of downtown San Jose at 1055 Commercial Court for an undisclosed amount. The site is a strategic core purchase for Prologis in the San Jose market, where land is scarce, and demand remains strong for infill development and associated last-mile delivery uses.

Prologis’ Darren Kenney says, “This latest acquisition adds to our already large presence in the region, and offers long-term build-to-suit and redevelopment opportunities for customers’ evolving needs.”

JLL’s logistics and supply chain specialists Mike Murray, Greg Matter and Jason Ovadia arranged the sale. Matter says, “This is an exceptionally well-located site, perfectly positioned for future infill and ‘last mile industrial development.”

The site is close to on/off ramps for the Bayshore (101) Freeway and Interstates 680 and 880. It is also less than a 10-minute drive from Norman J. Mineta International Airport and downtown San Jose.
