Production Company Pulls Up SoHo Stakes in Move to Industry City

Animation house Buck is relocating from SoHo to Industry City in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park, more than doubling its footprint. The Los Angeles-based production company will take 30,000 square feet at the six-million-square-foot mixed-use complex, up from the current 11,000 square feet.

“We particularly felt Industry City was an ideal option for Buck to create a showcase space for its New York operations, due to the robust creative community, stunning waterfront views and campus-style amenities,” said Buck’s Orion Tait.

“We specialize in representing creative and design-oriented companies, and find that most of our Manhattan-based clients are now considering Brooklyn when evaluating their relocation options,” said Ken Fishel, president at Legacy Real Estate, who represented Buck with partner Jessica Jaber. “Our clients are attracted to the new amenity-rich developments and high-standard creative buildouts, and lower price points.”

Kathe Chase and Jeff Fein of Industry City’s internal leasing team represented Industry City.
