Prewar Walk-ups Change Hands in Bronx’s West Farms Section

GFI Realty Services has finalized the $4.1-million sale of 2077 Vyse Ave. (pictured) and 951 E. 179th St., a pair of four-story apartment buildings in the West Farms section of the Bronx. Managing director Yosef Katz and associate Zachary Fuchs represented the buyer and seller, both local investors, of the prewar walk-up buildings.

“Due to the increase in investment in the Bronx, the seller decided that it was a prime time to market these assets,” said Fuchs. “The buyer recognized the value of the two buildings, and intends to invest in capital improvements and hold onto it for the long term.”

Added Katz, “This portfolio received strong interest from investors who recognized the unique investment opportunity to acquire two cash-flowing residential assets ideally located near bus and subway lines.”

The property is situated in close proximity to the Bronx Zoo, Crotona Park, Tremont Park and the New Horizons Shopping Mall.
