Pontiac Lands Two Corporate HQ Relocations
Commerce Township, MI-based Williams International Co. LLC and Troy, MI-based United Shore Financial Services LLC are relocating their respective corporate headquarters and more than 3,300 workers to Pontiac, MI. The companies are expected to invest nearly $415 million in their facilities, which significantly shifts the city away from a traditional blue-collar job base.
Williams, a defense industry contractor, is relocating from 2280 E. West Maple Rd. to the Michigan Motion Picture Studios building at 1999 Centerpoint Pkwy. The company, which develops and builds small gas turbine engines for cruise missiles, planes and drones, also plans to acquire roughly 120 acres of adjacent vacant land and a nearby building at 2001 Centerpoint for a future up to one-million-square-foot factory.
United Shore, a wholesale mortgage provider, is relocating into a 600,000-square-foot former Hewlett Packard Enterprise building at 585 South Blvd. next summer, which it acquired for $40 million.
