Plans Unveiled for 130K-SF Data Center Shell
KDC announced plans to develop its fifth ground-up data center in Richardson, TX. The Dallas developer is planning to build a 130,000-square-foot data center at 1510 E. Lookout Dr., just south of its mixed-use CityLine development. The center will be open for business in summer 2019.
“The greenfield data center project is located in a proven data center site, and is adjacent to a large financial enterprise data center we previously developed,” said KDC’s Ab Atkins. “It contains an on-site electrical substation that is owned and maintained by ONCOR.”
The new center will feature 190-mph-resistant wind design, more than 20 network fiber carriers, and a 10-year, 50% City of Richardson business personal property tax abatement. Alliance Architects is designing the project and Kimley Horn is the civil engineer. Telios Dallas is the mechanical and electrical engineer.
