Plans Filed for 393-Unit Skyview

Golub & Co. LLC filed an amended Planned Area Development Overlay to develop Skyview, a 303-unit apartment complex with 4,225 square feet of retail space. The planned development would go south of University Drive near Arizona State University in Tempe. The city of Tempe Development Review Commission has recommended approval to the city council. The project is expected to be voted on for final approval in January.

The Chicago-headquartered Golub bought part of the land 10 years ago for $5 million. The remainder of the site was acquired from the city of Tempe at the end of 2014 for $1.5 million. Assuming approval, construction is anticipated to launch in late 2017 or early 2018. The project is anticipated to take approximately 26 months, with apartments available for rent by 2020.
