Planmeca Takes Over Former Serta Building for U.S. HQ

Dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca USA Inc. purchased the former Serta Mattress Co. building at 2600 Forbs Ave., in Hoffman Estates, IL for an undisclosed sum. Planmeca will use the 90,000-square-foot facility for its U.S. headquarters, relocating from two adjacent buildings in nearby Roselle.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Britt Casey and Jeff Matella represented Planmeca on the purchase of this property. CBRE’s Mark Smith represented Serta.

“This state-of-the-art facility is truly a masterpiece that offers expansion capabilities and is strategically located directly off the I-90 expressway within the prestigious Prairie Stone Business Park,” said Matella. “Planmeca will execute all U.S. operations out of this facility while also providing an unparalleled experience for the clientele they will host in their new location.”

Along with headquarters space, the 2600 Forbs facility will also house a testing and distribution center for Planmeca’s product lines, a showroom and a training center.
