PJ’s Coffee Brewing Massive Texas Expansion

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is planning to grow its Texas footprint, with plans to bring 180 locations over the next decade to the Lone Star State. The planned storefront coffeehouses will join three locations already operational in Cypress, Houston and Pearland, TX.

The company wants to boost its presence, through franchising, in the following locations:

  • Austin — 25
  • Dallas-Fort Worth — 55
  • Houston — 60
  • San Antonio — 40

PJ’s Coffee indicated that, as the company sought further expansion, “Texas became an obvious choice, as an area with similar values and an upbeat vibe.” The operating model and menu can work within different types of real estate, from kiosks to free-standing locations with drive-through lanes. Square footage ranges from a few hundred to 2,200.

The menu consists of iced, frozen, hot and cold brews, as well as nitro-infused coffees. Also on hand are organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries.
