Perkins+Will Picks Sheldon to Lead Corporate and Commercial Practice
Perkins+Will appointed David Sheldon to lead its Los Angeles practice focused on mixed-use, corporate, and commercial architecture. He brings more than 20 years of experience to the role.
“David Sheldon joins the L.A. Practice with a unique set of skills,” said Eric Aukee, managing director of the Los Angeles office. “He is a consummate collaborator and communicator, who understands the critical link between a strong personal relationship and the ability to help guide a client’s vision into a strategy for success.”
Sheldon’s portfolio includes work on both the landlord and tenant representation side. He’s been involved in mixed-use design strategies with companies such as Simon, GGP, and Macerich. Previously, he launched the renowned Jerde Partnership in Amsterdam, and ran his own L.A.-based design firm.
“Tomorrow’s commercial development is a fusion of retail, workplace, fitness, food, and entertainment all colliding,” Sheldon noted. “My vision is to leverage Perkins+Will’s capabilities to create enhanced experiential moments across all typologies.”
A native of Denver, Sheldon has a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University. Currently, he serves as vice chair of ULI’s Entertainment Development Council.
