Payless ShoeSource Announces Bryan Tower Office

Payless ShoeSource announced it would open a new Dallas office, with plans to keep “select business operations” in its headquarters city of Topeka, as well as other locations. The office will be in Bryan Tower, 2001 Bryan St. in downtown Dallas. The square footage for the future office was not known.

The shoe company is planning to transfer buying, merchandising, legal and real estate divisions, and parts of technology, e-commerce and human resources departments to the Dallas location by August 31, 2018. Payless is adamant in that “The company does not intend to eliminate jobs in Topeka, or any other location, in conjunction with opening the Dallas location,” according to a press release.

The shoe retailer filed for bankruptcy in 2017, and put its headquarters on the market for $8.5 million.
