Partnership to Bring AI Solutions to Senior Living

IBM and University of California San Diego are teaming up to provide data and artificial intelligence solutions to the aging population. The initiative, known as the Artificial Intelligence for Healthy Living Center at U.C. San Diego, will help identify early signs of dementia and cognitive issues, to help delay impairment and extend independent living options for this population.

The partnership will commence, at once, with a study of 50 local individuals, many who live in a San Diego-area independent living community. The study, overseen by U.C.S.D., will focus on day-to-day activities, health and wellness. The goal of the study is to keep individuals living independently as long as possible.
