Paramount Gets a $44M Public-Private Boost

Public development agencies in California have taken a hit lately, but this has spurred an opportunity for public-private partnerships to take the lead on development plans.

The retail scene in Paramount is gearing up for new tenants, thanks to the combined efforts of city officials and Colliers International. Shoe chain WSS is entering downtown Paramount, while another development, Clearwater Crossing, will add eateries such as Chipotle and Applebee’s to the mix of options for residents in the area.

Colliers’ James Rodriguez, based in Los Angeles, said that the goal of the new $44.4 million renovation of downtown Paramount is to make it a popular, walkable area for local residents to enjoy shopping and dining.
