Paramount Building Inks 72k SF in New Leases

With a new lobby now complete at 1501 Broadway, also known as the Paramount Building, the Avison Young leasing team has amassed about 72,000 square feet of new leases. Completed renovations on the 33-story office tower have driven recent tenant interest.

Newly-completed leases include:

• A new, 18,680-square-foot lease for KIPP Foundation & KIPP NYC, relocating from 520 Eighth Ave.
• An 18,332-square-foot lease extension and expansion for the American Federation of Musicians.
• A new, 16,657-square-foot lease for EC New York, moving from 1450 Broadway.
• A 17,656-square-foot lease expansion for Hardesty & Hanover, bringing its footprint to over 52,000 square feet.

The Avison Young team representing ownership includes Arthur J. Mirante, Michael Gottlieb and Joseph Gervino.

“Avison Young expects this leasing momentum to continue in the coming months, as the appeal of 1501 Broadway to tenants in a variety of industries is as strong as it has ever been,” said Mirante.
