Packaging Firm Expands Footprint to 530K SF at Stirling’s SCLA

Stirling Development signed a 233,770-square-foot lease expansion with Plastipak Packaging, Inc. at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) in Victorville, CA. The 96-month transaction brings the packaging company’s total space occupied at SCLA to 530,230 square feet.

Stirling Development’s Brian Parno says, “Like many of our tenants, Plastipak is taking advantage of the ability to expand in place at SCLA. The growth trend in the Inland Empire’s High Desert region is a testament to both the logistical advantages and affordability of the area.”

Plastipak will occupy an existing building that is adjacent to the 296,203-square-foot building where Plastipak houses its current manufacturing operations. The company’s need for expansion is due to a new venture of manufacturing water, in conjunction with its existing manufacturing operations of producing plastic bottles and containers.

SCLA, the former George Air Force Base, is an 8,500-acre multimodal freight transportation hub supported by air, ground and rail connections which includes a 2,500-acre commercial and industrial complex entitled for 60 million square feet of development.

Connect Bay Area is coming up July 18, 2019 at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco. Get more information, and register to attend on this link.
