ORIX Completes Acquisition of Hunt Real Estate Capital

ORIX Corp. USA, the U.S. and Latin America business hub for Tokyo-based ORIX Corp., has completed the acquisition of Hunt Real Estate Capital. ORIX will combine Hunt with its two ORIX brands, Lancaster Pollard and RED Capital Group, to create one full-service, national commercial real estate lender.

James Flynn, president and CIO of Hunt Real Estate Capital, has been tapped to lead the newly created company. In 2019, the annual transaction production for Hunt and ORIX exceeded $9 billion, with a combined portfolio of more than $40 billion.

ORIX acquired Lancaster Pollard and merged it into its RED Capital Group subsidiary in 2019.

“The combined organization will possess the capital, national presence, servicing capability, and range of debt and investment solutions to address the needs of the entire commercial real estate community more flexibly than traditional banks and other lenders,” said Terry Suzuki, president and CEO at ORIX USA.
