Onni Accelerates Construction Activity at DTLA Site

Canadian-based Onni Group is moving forward on development of 1212 Flower Street in DTLA. The roughly 1.5-acre site, abutting the Pico Station, is planned to include a pair of high-rise towers encompassing 730 residential units and 8,000 square feet of retail space.

The towers, which will rise 40 and 31 stories, will feature glass and steel structures, and were designed by Vancouver-based Chris Dikeakos Architects.

A 70,000-square-foot, five-story office building currently sits on the site and will be retained. Built in the late 1960s, the building was recently upgraded, including adding a new basement gym.

Omni’s three other projects in DTLA include Level DTLA and 820 S. Olive Street. The group also just completed the acquisition of the historic LA Times Building.
