On the Sales Block: ACC’s Pinnacle Campus Building
Austin Community College placed its Pinnacle campus building, and the nine acres on which it sits, up for sale. The college’s Board of Trustees declared the 107,654-square-foot building, in Austin’s Oak Hill, surplus property, paving the way for bids.
CBRE is marketing the 10-story building at 7748 U.S. 290 West, which closed in summer, 2018. The entire campus is 55 acres; the school will retain 46 acres for potential future development. “Pinnacle Campus has served the district well over the years, but it’s time to take a closer look at how we might improve the campus experience for our students in the southwest region,” said ACC’s President and CEO, Richard Rhodes.
Once bids are received, the college will evaluate its options, and either accept a bid or develop a different long-term plan for the building and property. The facility, which opened in 1984, requires extensive renovation.
